ABOUT THE ARTIST

Sydney artist Sarina spent her childhood on the NSW Central Coast where she acquired not only a love for Nature and the outdoors but also the unbridled passion and creativity that still infuses her art.

Her lifelong love affair with cycling both road and trail has seen her compete nationally and abroad for 30+ years. The friendships, adventures and hard earned wisdom she has acquired on this journey resonate in every artwork she creates. 100% honest and authentic. 

It's this visceral connection through shared passion, courage, determination and commitment (along with bent forks, broken bones and much bark left on the road)

Perpetually exploring new concepts and developing the innovative multi-media techniques that distinguish her work, she enjoys the freedom her art offers both artist and audience. The nature of her paintings means she feels neither bound to explain them nor cares how they’re interpreted. Raw and unfiltered they illustrate and emanate from a life spent behind bars. She paints what she sees and loves, that which inspires and gives her a sense of great purpose, beauty and happiness. They are paintings which motivate and inspire, paintings people can live with in their house and which give them a sense of happiness, longing & connection every time they are seen, because you have shared that moment, that feeling and her work captures it perfectly.

She paints according to her moods & inspiration….textured, aged & patterned still life, sea scapes and coastal views on canvas and paper which may involve layering materials like watercolour, acrylic, oils, inks, plaster, sand & gold leaf, sewing & stitching in nails before finishing with glazes or resin.
